Dividends FAQ

Q: Who rolls the die to determine the shifting of pegs?
A: The game official would.

Q: Who starts the bidding for turn order?
A: Any player could do so. Any player could offer a counter bid at any time, and as many times as they want. To facilitate bidding, the previous owner of Turn 1 would start the opening bid for the first player disc. The bidding would follow clockwise then.

Q: Is there any sequence for play actions?
A: No. During a player’s turn, he could perform buying, selling, and playing of influence cards as many times as he wishes, at any time, as long as he has sufficient resources.

Q: When does the Major Shareholder Tile change hands?
A: Major Shareholder tiles only change hands when (a) another player bought enough shares such that his number of shares in company A exceeds that of the current owner of MS Tile A, or when (b) current Major Shareholder sell his stock A to the point where another player’s stock number in A exceeds his.

This applies even when Force Sell, Buy In, Placement Offer or Technical Correction is activated.

Q: What happen to unused Influence Cards?
A: They are placed at the bottom of the Influence Card deck.

Q: Who draws the Event Tile?
A: The Game Official.

Q: What happens to Influence Cards I receive on Year 5?
A: You can play them on Year 6 during your turn, in turn order. Following that, you’ll receive dividends based on the certificates you own.
